I am a director, writer, and producer working across theatre, audio, film, and digital worlds.

My practice is rooted in cultural resistance, working at the intersection of art, activism, politics, and community, collaborating with radical artists around the world who confront the urgent issues of our time.

My work moves across borders, spanning the UK, Europe, Palestine, Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, Lebanon, Chile, Jordan, Japan, Pakistan, the USA, Ukraine, and India. My theatre productions have toured more than 40 stages in the UK and over 20 countries worldwide, with presentations at leading international venues including the Schaubühne Berlin, the Young Vic in London, Skirball Center New York, and the Strasbourg National Theatre.

Working at the edges of form and technology, I use digital innovation to circumnavigate systems of occupation, war, censorship, borders, and authoritarian control. My practice encompasses virtual reality, immersive audio, visual art, digital archiving, and citizen journalism - creating alternative infrastructures for storytelling, memory, and resistance.

I am founder and director at award winning company Artists On The Frontline: a transnational creative force that mobilises culture for bold, revolutionary, and uncensored exchange.

I spent 15 years working with The Freedom Theatre in Jenin Refugee Camp, Palestine, serving as Associate Artistic Director and as part of the leadership team during its nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize. I was formerly a director at The Old Vic as part of the Old Vic 12, and an associate artist at The Red Room and the National Youth Theatre. I have served as a trustee of the Liverpool Arab Arts Festival, Papatango Theatre Company, and The Red Room.

My training includes a Bachelor of Arts from Drama Centre, Central Saint Martins, studying acting at the Vakhtangov School in Moscow, and filmmaking at the London Metropolitan Film School.

artists on the frontline

A creative force for radical artists using culture as a form of resistance.

Led by those at the forefront of social and political transformation, we work at the intersection of arts, activism, and politics, creating everything from theatre to protest performance, virtual reality to immersive audio, platforms for citizen journalism and digital archives.

Award-winning projects build space for groundbreaking, revolutionary, and uncensored exchanges - where bold ideas ignite action, innovative models of organising are born, and cultural resistance powers change.
