SO MANY REASONS

FUEL THEATRE

So Many Reasons is a bold, intimate, and fiercely honest exploration of the profound, and often complicated, power our mothers hold over the way we see ourselves and the world. Told through the lens of  Rachel Ofori a first-generation British Ghanaian woman, the show dives into the emotional inheritance passed down through generations of women: their fears, their resilience, their sacrifices, and their contradictions.

Blending humour and vulnerability, So Many Reasons unpacks the unspoken rules of womanhood learned at home - about love, strength, beauty, ambition, and survival. It interrogates the space between tradition and transformation, where daughters grow up navigating two worlds while questioning which stories provide strength and which must be unlearned.

Eploring how women see themselves and each other across generations, Rachel Ofori asks the daring question many daughters are afraid to voice: what happens when we realise our mums don’t always know best?

So Many Reasons is a celebration of growth, a reckoning with legacy, and a love letter to the courage it takes to choose your own voice while honouring where you come from.
